BHSc (Nut Med), BAppSc, BA
Safe and Sound Protocol Practitioner
Have you ever reached a point where your doctor had no idea how to help you?
I think I was born at this point. A lifetime of apparently inexplicable health problems that stumped the doctors led to my great interest in the workings of the human body. The birth of my children, all of whom had their own issues, drove me even more strongly to find out how to help myself and my family. One of the practitioners I saw as part of my search for wellness insisted that I enquire about studying nutritional medicine – and that was the beginning of my path towards becoming a healthcare professional.
In my own health journey I explored almost every treatment modality under the sun. Nutritional medicine was always a mainstay, and supplements and dietary changes kept me coping for a while, however I also learned that there are some things more important to health than nutrition. I now take an even more broad view of life and health and my key focus is on bringing people to a place where supplements and dietary restrictions are no longer necessary.
Freedom from ill health and from burdensome health management strategies has only been possible for me through finding spiritual health, and this is the best form of ‘therapy’ that I know. I have witnessed and personally experienced fast and dramatic healing when people have aligned their emotions and beliefs with God’s design.
The thing that excites me most is working with patients on a spiritual and emotional level. I work with people from all different faith backgrounds and walks of life, and I am now focussed on working with patients who understand the importance of this part of life through my new projects at nicolehargreaves.net
Qualifications and Training
I have three Bachelor degrees, which seems like overkill really. In addition to my Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine, I also have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Animal Studies (I do occasionally see animal patients) and a Bachelor of Arts (in Mandarin Chinese). I have completed training with Integrated Listening Australia to administer the Safe and Sound Protocol as well as being accredited to deliver an internationally-recognised life skills training program for women. I saw patients at Abundant Life Natural Health from 2016 – 2024, and perhaps my most significant qualification comes from the school of life as the mother and educator of three children.
I have past experience working with people with disabilities, including children with autistic spectrum disorders, having spent eight years training and placing assistance dogs with Canine Helpers for the Disabled Inc. During this time I did significant study in applied behaviour modification in humans and animals. I have also done extensive study and have close personal experience in the healing power of prayer and a healthy relationship with God.
